For centuries pirates have been remembered by their hair. Blackbeard is perhaps the most famous. Not only was he ruthless and menacing but his iconic beard defines who he was as a pirate. Similarly, lady pirates were known by their manes. This is the tale of two rival pirates lasses and their fight to have the greatest hair.
Their are numerous rumors about the whereabouts of the legendary pirate River Hair who was feared on the Caribbean for decades. Most pirates revere her tale as a legend, and countless pirate woman have gone in search of her treasure. It is rumored that a Mermaid Elixir gave her hair immense strength and volume, making her the envy of all pirate lasses. Some say she is still alive and hiding for reasons only she knows. Others say she went missing; that she went ashore on Blackthorn Island to conceal her most valuable treasure.
But two pirates didn't care much about the dangerous threat on this island. the fiery haired Roxanne & silky waves Annabell are highly feared pirates in the waters surrounding Blackthorn port town on the east cost. One day their fates changed as a mysterious shadow approached Roxanne from within an alleyway.
The hag brandished a bottle in her hands, while her weak eyes were pinned on Roxanne. Knowing Roxanne's reputation for being brutal to commoners, her hands shook like a tremor and she almost dropped the bottle.
“ If you drink this liquid you will be the next Pirate Queen. Trust me, I saw River Hair drinking this stuff when she was still walking, and do you know why she was called River Hair ? “The old woman smirked as she shook the bottle with the strange colored liquid.
“ I don't have time for your babbling hag! Tell me, is this one of River Hair's treasures? “
Roxanne's patience had reached it's limit and she was about to beat the old woman. Her hand was clenched in a fist and white knuckled. She was not bluffing.Suddenly another person approached from behind and lowered Roxanne’s fist.
“ Cut it off Monkey. You aren't impressing anyone with all your bluster.“ It was Annabell, the only other pirate lass with hair glorious enough to match Roxanne's. Next to Roxanne, Annabell was treated like a queen. Annabelle was proudly and known in the harbor, and was just as much feared as she was respected. She always called Roxanne "monkey" because she enjoyed making Roxanne angry. "It's not like that elixir could ever make your hair as beautiful as mine, Just look at that hopeless mess of curl. Your hair would be more useful as a mop than as a head covering.
Roxanne, royaly pissed off, ripped the bottle out of the hag's hand."We'll just see about that sea witch!" She turned and grabbed the hag by the wrist.“ I have enough if you hag. Prove that this elixir gave River Hair her power. NOW! “
Annabell, giggled sinisterly and spoke up.“ Hold one monkey. If this is truly a treasure of the old queen, then it unquestionably belongs to me.“ Annabell reached out for the bottle in Roxanne's hands, but Roxanne's eye (the one she had not lost yet) glared with an intense flame.
“Get lost! This one is mine." Roxanne turned around and was about to leave. Annabell stepped forward and grabbed Roxanne arm.
“You not going anywhere. This is my town. In my town, everything is mine until you buy it.“
Roxanne tossed a long red curl over her shoulder, which hit Annabell on the cheek.“Who said it's your town ?“ She stopped and looked over her shoulder back to her rival. “I am more than suitable to become the next pirate queen than you ever will be. Compared to me, your just a filthy animal. Your hair is filled with lice and you stink like you slept in a pig pen."
Annabell stroke her straight long hair with her finger comb, acting like she wasn't paying attention to Roxanne, but that last remark had pushed her to her limit. She raised her fist to Roxanne.“Do you wanna….?“
Suddenly the old woman grapped the bottle from Roxanne's hands faster han Roxanne could react. “Now now. I have an idea for you two ladys. As I can see, you two really want this bottle. Why don't you gamble over it? Play a round of cards and the winner gets it. “
“ Pff, that suits me just fine. “ Said Roxanne with grinned teethes.
“ I agree. This time we will find out who is truly fit to be pirate queen!“ Annabell's voice was filled with confidence, knowing that she would beat Roxanne. Roxanne grabbed the bottle again and the two lady's stormed into a nearby tavern, their long locks dragging behind them.

This is a great image and so is "Pirate Girls Part 2." I particularly like Annabell twirling a lock of her lustrous hair around her left index finger -- nice touch. I think it's a ploy on Annabell's part to distract Roxanne and to emphasize that she believes her lengthy locks are prettier and longer than Roxanne's.
